I am aware that there are several different cuts in use but not suer where/when they are used.

Only 1911 I own that I even want to put different rear sight on is a Regent 100. Off a bench, its groups very well, but not quite on spot.

Would like to put an adjustable rear on it.

Does anyone know for sure what dovetail this uses? Bomar? Novak?

Many thanks!

Regent 100
Who knows.
Never heard of one before.

1911 sight cuts are either GI Mil-Spec and best left alone on Mil-Spec slides.

Or, they are not, and could be anything!

Better send the slide to a known sight maker and let them figure it out.

I looked them up.
The Regent R100 looks GI. An adjustable sight would either call for machining the big low mount cuts or would perch on top of the slide like a 1960s military match pistol.

The R100S has something that looks like a Novak sight but who knows if it is actually the Novak dovetail.

Thanks for the input gents!

Was hoping to find someone who's actually dealt with an R100 rear sight before.
Trying not to be down on this one for as long as it takes to ship, eval/work, return ship.

Don't know any good smiths here.

Anyone? Any good/reasonable smiths in the Phoenix area?
