So I have a series 80 Colt Gold Cup Trophy in stainless. Love the gun, but not so much the finish. It has the brushed finish on the flats, with all the rounded parts having that matte finish that looks almost like parkerized. I am considering either having the entire done in the brushed stainless finish, or having the whole thing mirror polished. Another idea is to have the flats mirror polished and the rounded parts brushed. Does anyone know of a reputable company in Tx that does this kind of work on pistols? I have spoken to Colt and they can do it, but I just feel safer having it done closer to home. Or should I just send it to Colt?
BTW, anyone have pics of a GCT in a finish other than stock?
