i was wondering if it was possible to switch out the sights on the .22 kimber conversion slide for my 1911? the ones that come with the kit are not so great... I like the flat, black portion of the sights but the front one just isnt as visible as I would like it to be. I was thinking of novak fiber optic green.

does anyone know if it is possible to switch? and if so would I be able to do such a job myself with a vice and a punch or something like that?

thanks in advance

A suggestion

A suggestion, keep the old sights, just enhance them, a small dab of glow-on.com stuff will take care of it.
I've tested it over and over, you put the pistol by your bedside, wake up right before dawn, the sights alone will help you gab the gun in a hurry if needed.

As Springfield Armory 1911 with regular iron sights and luminescent glow-on dots. Now this pistol was brought in from outside into my garage, that is why it looks so charged, it's real value is in the dark; in the presence of light the glow seems to fade, but take it into a completely dark room, or like I said wake up in the middle of the night, you'll love it.
