Can someone recommend someone who can reblue a 1911 slide for me? It has a strong plum color that I would like to fix. I am looking for someone who can turn it around in a reasonable period of time. Thanks.

Gary,
Glenrock Blue in Glenrock, Wyoming, does incredible work. No plum coloration on ANY of the parts. Turn-around is very reasonable. Here's a pic of a Baer Monolith I reworked for a customer and sent to Phil at Glenrock.

Plum color? Is it a Norinco?
They have a tendency to purple-up a little over time, it's the steel, and reblueing won't make it stop.
Have you thought about tennifer? Coal Creek Armory will make it BLACK and very durable for less than $100.
