1911 slide stop problem

On my Kimber Desert Warrior (about 1000rds through it) when the slide locks back, the only way to release it is by using the slide stop lever. It will not release by pulling the slide back. I have plenty of extra parts and other 1911s, and I have tried different slide stops, plungers, springs, spring lengths, and even cut the notch in slide stop a little bigger. I have taken the slide stop of my Desert Warrior and put it on other 1911s and it works fine but no matter which slide stop I put on my Warrior, they all do the same thing. Can any body help.

Take the slide buffer out of the recoil spring assembly.

Nice, I have been messing with that gun for about 2 weeks, and it took 5 mins after I post to get it fixed. I forgot that buffer was on there. Thanks!!!
