That's very cool. Normally in combat situations (not that I've ever been in one), I'd go C&L all the way.

But most of the time in my civilian carry I don't though.

And another paragraph in the long and colorful history of the 1911....the capture of So Damn Insane!!
C&L IS the way to carry the beastie! You never know when you are gonna need it! It is one of the weapons to use accurately(and powerfully) in a immediate close range action...that is what makes it to popular and effective.
My 1911's are and have always been carried cocked and locked. Condition three is too slow(though sometimes nice around the house), Condition two gives you two ways to screw up....lowering the hammer over a live round and cocking the hammer(with hand way out of place) over a live round.
