I just reserved a 1967 H&R Mod.949 with a 5.5" barrel. Price out the door will be $90, I think I did good considering its in about 95% condition. My question is can I shoot high velocity ammo? I am in college for Law Enforcement (expensive as H***) and I mostly buy Fed. Bulk box .22 ammo.

I have run LOTS of Federal bulk ammo through all my H&R's. The model 949 included.

I have lots of H&Rs and I've been shooting the hypervelocity stuff with no ill effects so I'm sure that you can shoot all of the high velocity rounds you want.
