Colt stopped making the second issue Detective Special in 1972 when they went to the third issue. They started building it with a shroud around the cylinder pin and they dropped the .32 Colt N.P. But I have a Second Issue made in 1975, serial # M18xxx. It has no shroud around the cylinder pin and it's a .32. Apparently it was part of a special order using left over parts. It's probably worth getting a report on it from Colt, but I'm wondering if anyone here has any info on this and how it may affect the value. It's in quite good condition, no sign of wear and cylinder very tight.
