hey guys,

i don't know why i wrote the subject line the way i did. i just did, ok?

i've been all over this forum today. i apologize for all the questions.

this is the last. we already covered the "good year(s) for pythons" matter. so it was asked and answered. and the answer is judge each (any firearm) by how it appears to you. that's fine, i fyou can put your hands on it before paying for it.

anyway, here's a simple question.

when was the colt strike during which some of the master gunsmith's and finish polishers left never to return? when did it end?

i've done the search here and elsewhere. the years i find vary (mid 70s to late 70s/ late 70s to early 80s/ early to mid 80s and so on).

it there a clear time line for this strike?

i'm more interested in when it began for obvious reasons... .

thanks,

mike

I think if you have this many questions and reservations about the gun and the seller, you would be wise to pass..

Not sure of the strike years but evaluate the gun on it's individual merits and pay accordingly, don't base your decision on good and bad years, it's not a bottle of wine!
