1000 230gr .452 LRN

USPS delivered them today in a Priority Mail box ... 2 500rd boxes very well-packaged in that PM box with cardboard pieces and poly foam sections.

I put the 2 boxes on the scale and they weigh 33lb10½oz, so there may be a few extra included, as many good vendors do.

The few bullets that I removed look very good with what appears to be the same translucent blue lube that Missouri Bullets uses (I ordered some of their 200gr for them while waiting for the FBC order to be delivered).

Even though their home page says that it will be 4 weeks until an order is delivered and it is now 2 days to being 11 weeks,

and even though they charged my MasterCard immediately,

and even though they never once responded to any of my respectful emails (both emails & FBC website form-driven messages) requesting a status on my order,

and even though they would not answer their phone, choosing to leave a generic order status message instead (like, "We are now working on orders from the 3rd week of July"),

the only time I became annoyed with them was when I received their Stamps.com notification email stating that they had shipped me a package ... two days after I sent them a cancellation email, as instructed by them. :banghead:

FYI.

This is disappointing to hear. I load their 200 RNFP and 250 RNFP in 45 Colt. The company itself is maybe 10 miles from where I live and I buy their bullets through a local retailer at a pretty decent price. Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Hopefully you like the bullets! They shoot well for me out of a Uberti SAA clone.

Their product looks to be of comparable quality to the 200 RNFPs that I purchased from MBC so I am expecting for good results.

The dozen, or so, that I quickly pulled and weighed seem to indicate that most if not all of these will run a bit heavy with the average of the inspected group being a bit north of 233gr. The delta around this average appears to be ±1-2gr, so I am quite satisfied. Hopefully that small group is representative of the whole. ;)

I am proud to not be a member of the Instant Gratification Society, so the long wait did not bother me. I had plenty of other bullet types to load and figured that Richard was just suffering some kind of supply issues.

A response to some/any of my status requests would have been appreciated. I was disappointed but not upset and had no doubt that my order would arrive eventually.

After I decided to cancel and reorder from somewhere else (following the instructions in that generic order status phone message) I sent the email on a Thursday afternoon with a title of "Re: Order 6218 ... PLEASE CANCEL ORDER".

The next day, Friday, I was about to place another order ... and then I stopped ... and, due to my experience with this order & company, decided to wait until I saw the money back in my account ...

... just in case Friendswood did something dodgy ... like ship my cancelled order. On Saturday I received that shipping email. :scrutiny:

Good thing I decided to hold off on that replacement order. :)

Sorry to hear that. Haven't ordered from them since 2010 but at that time they were prompt and the product is very good.
