it has been years since I last use a firearms...
attended a short shooting course for beginners yesterday with 2 friends.got the opportunity to shoot four firearms.
1st event : shotgun trap shooting ( trap speed :75km/h)
shotgun : Beretta Over-Under Shotgun ( can't remember the model )
caliber : 12 Gauge 2.75" , shotsize : 9.5
ammo manufacturer : RC Italy
shooting from 5 positions , 2 shotshells per position. ( total : 10 shot )
1st time shooting a flying target , didn't hit any of the traps. but really happy to shoot a shotgun and feel the recoil of a 12 gauge.
Operations of a Beretta over-under shotgun is quite simple and straightforward.
2nd event : 9mm pistol (15m/16.4yds)
6 9mm pistols : Beretta Model 92FS
Beretta Model 92FS Inox
Glock 17
SiG P-226
H&K USP Expert
? ( didn't get the opportunity to see the markings on the pistol )
Get to shoot 2 of the 6 pistols.
1st Shoot : SIG P-226 (my lane was allocated with this pistol)
2 mag. , 5 shot each magazine. Shooting 2 handed standing.
Ammo : Magtech 9mm FMJ 115gr.
Results : 9 shots hit the target , 1 shot MIA.
2nd Shoot : Beretta Model 92FS ( get to choose a different pistol.)
1 mag. 10 shot. Shooting 2 handed standing.
Ammo : as above
Results : 7 shots hit the target , 3 shots MIA.
I don't have strong arms , although shooting 2 handed my results ain't good. but I'm really happy to shoot 2 9mm pistols.
operations of the 9mm pistols that I shoot is quite similar to Colt M16-A1, but my weaker arm(left) dont' really have the strength to pull back the slide.
3rd event : .22LR Bolt Action Single shot rifle ( 50m/54.68yds )
Gun :Anschutz Model Match 54
Shooting prone without support.
Ammo : .22LR ( didn't get to see the box )
get to shoot 20 rounds on a single target , 20 rounds hit target.
operations of the rifle is simple and straightforward , basically didn't felt any recoil from the .22LR round.
attachments : 1. Me holding the Beretta shotgun.
2. P-226 target.
3. Beretta 92FS target.
4. .22LR target.
5. Shotshell and 9mm box.
