My second letter was published in the Baltimore Sun this weekend. I'm basically coming back at Leah Barrett/Gail Gunn everytime she gets her lies published in the press. The title is not mine..........

>>>More anti-gun laws won't protect kids

After failing for the second year in a row to get yet more restrictive gun laws forced upon the law-abiding citizens of Maryland, CeaseFire Maryland has set its sights on attacking President Bush on the September sunset of the 1994 assault weapons ban ("Years after massacre, guns still easy to get," letters, April 22).

Preying upon the general public's lack of firearms knowledge, the group continues to pull fear-mongering catch phrases from its playbook of anti-firearm talking points.

The acts of two deranged students at Columbine High School were indeed a tragedy, but what CeaseFire Maryland fails to mention is that these firearms were already possessed illegally by Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold.

Making it more illegal to own those firearms would not have prevented their actions.

We should be asking why the parents of those students allowed their children to openly and illegally possess firearms and bomb-making materials.

Just think.....with a 100% track record, you could write one letter a day and REALLY make a difference:evil:

Dont forget to mention the 97 pipe bombs at Columbine. The news media rarely talks about them, since they failed to explode. It helps to convince people that even if the criminals couldnt get the guns, they could have blown everyone up.

I'm just suprised that the Sun actually printed the letter. I'm pretty much shut down for the next few weeks on the local papers since they only allow one letter every 30 days.....I have to work on the Post and Times now.

Klebold and Harris planned on killing as many people as possible using explosive devices, some of which actually worked. The propane tank bombs did not work. They apparently had at least 70 explosive devices, including a booby trapped car.

Because of so many explosives devices secreted in the Colombine school building, the authorities thought for a long time the killers had help.

It appears the guns were brought along as insurance that their mission would succeed.
