Hi, I'm interested in getting into reloading and will be taking a free seminar in Boise next Wednesday. Anyway, in the catalog i saw some 20 gauge brass that i thought would be fun to load and use for special hunts. My question is, what do you seal them with after reloading?

The solid brass cases, if that is what you are referring to, are normally used by Cowboy shooters who want the of the period ammo for their sport. To answer your question, there is an over the shot wad that is placed...over the shot and then roll crimped in place. The cases are expensive and I would not recommend them for getting into reloading. They are more of a specialty item. I do recommend the Winchester AA case and the Remington SST case for strength/life and ease of reloading. I have used the MEC Sizemasters in all gages with great results. The Mec for my 10 gage was great because I could not buy what I wanted to shoot. I made a nice 1 and 5/8 high velocity load for crow shooting. Can't buy that, but you can made it. Now I am rambling. Sorry.

Brass cases are more a novelty/specialty for the Cowboy black-powder guys using double-barrel shotguns.
They don't work so hot in pumps & semi-autos!

Nothing standard fits them, such as 209 shotgun primers, felt & paper wads, or plastic shot-cups of the correct guage.

For example, 12 ga brass shells use 11 ga wads.
