Got a good one archery.....
That's a beauty Ks5shooter. Congrats!
A little snow, a couple roosters and my pup.
Had a great morning out with my pops and pup. Saw 4 roosters, came home with 2
Here's a couple my sons came up with at the farm this past week.
(Update: green scored 154 4/8")
First deer with my 6.5 Grendel. About 200 yards and dropped in it's tracks. Left antler is deformed, as you can see. It's an old deer so a good one to cull out. My son was hunting in an enclosed stand about 300 yards away and never heard the shot. When we went to pick it up in the field there were more deer out including another nice buck we had to shoo away.
Nice big buck.
Nice window sticker.
Cool stuff. Congrats.
I haven't been here for a while but mosey on over for the hunting stories and pics.
I'm in western Pa on the edge of a residential area.\.
A local LEO manages the 14 acres next to my place and will not allow me to hunt there.
Instead, I put a a tree stand on the 135 foot back side of my lot.
I had a game cam out early and got a shot of what I thought was a nontypical buck.
Its a small bodied deer but a cool looking rack.
This was a shot of him from an overhead camera.

Our early archery started on 21 Sept. I'm in a special regs location.
Anyway, the first morning I was up in my tree at about 6 AM and just after 7:30, along he came.
He gave me a bit of a quartering to shot but almost broadside at 15 yards.
The Ten Point Wicked Ridge FX4 with Spitfire 100s did their job.
Since I'm 20 feet up at 15 yards, getting a double lung shot usually doesnt happen.
Here he is about 90 yards out.

I got a complete pass through.
A week ago, I was back up in my tree and had 5 doe stop by. I picked one.

My tree stand is 75 feet from my house. a couple years ago I had a zipline to the platform which was pretty cool.
The buck was my early 70th birthday present. I suppose I'm officially and old ass now.
I dont generally get anything mounted but this guy is going on the wall.
Super sweet buck!!
Early in bow season I got the doe I posted way up the thread.
The last day of bow season, I got the biggest buck (body and antler mass, but not points) I’ve ever seen. Body size is what matters to me. I was very happy.
Congratulations to everyone....keep em coming.
My son killed a nice 8 with a kicker. 78 yard neck shot with my ..270 Winchester. Only his second buck.
So I switched stands with my son and out comes this one. Also about 200 yards DRT with the Grendel. A lot of mass for our area. This one had a severe limp and likely wouldn't have made it through the winter so it was an easy decision. Yes it's been a good year. Two bucks in two days. It had been about ten years since I'd shot anything. Would much rather my boys do the shooting but that's how it goes.
Mule deer buck yesterday morning taking with an Ithaca 37 and 1 oz rifled slug.
That looks delicious! What knife is that, that looks perfect.
Stout looking grandson you got there, he looks like a fullback in the making. Got that proud smile on his face too.
Went pheasant hunting this morning and all I got was two mallards.
Here are a couple that didn't make it. The larger buck was from a 800 acre farm that has lots of deer. I can be pretty selective there. The smaller one was off of another farm where any deer is a good deer. It is only 100 acres and the neighbors are not selective, so you shoot what comes by if you want venison.
It’s a custom field butcher by Adventure Sworn. Was a gift. It’s an amazing knife, I completely love it
During OK muzzleloader season i was sitting in a tree stand overlooking a game trail when this young buck came along. Rifle was a .50 caliber conventional sidelock muzzleloader firing a patched round ball. Distance was 30-35 yards.
pulled from a trap this morning......looks smaller than she was, but still not a big pig.
New York rifle season opens up in two hours with a little luck I mihjt have a picture to post here shortly. I had three nice bucks on the trail cam my son set out for me a month ago.
One really wide racked buck. Looked to be a seven point. Looked like it was missing the right tine by the skull.
I have two doe tags so first good size deer will be posted here shortly, I hope.
Finally have a contribution for this thread,
Small 3x3 came in at first light...and I do mean first light, my season was about 2 minutes old when I dropped the hammer on the 260 Rem.
Oldest daughter shot her first squirrel today
We got six today (five pictured):
