like what? the ar's are popular because they are cheap.what would u fancy.

phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range...

Honestly I dont know, just something different and innovative... tired of the hum drum butttttt we are not likely to see it unless we step towards that infamous saying.

Alright I changed my mind. My wallet could learn to live with a M1 carbine in 5.56 that takes STANG mags or 7.62*39 using AK mags. Really just a carbine with cheaper and easier to find ammo and mags. Even polymer stock would be okay as long as it points the same.

A ruger single six in 38spcl. A cz 527fs in 221 fireball. A super Redhawk with a 4" frame extension so it looks good with a short barrel. And a few more 3" double action blued revolvers. Also a pump action glock mag PCC for a suppressor host. a
Henry single shot in 460.

Oh, wait! This is just my fantasy list.

as a new yorker i would love a pcc pump gun.

Multi caliber capable bullpup. Change the BCG and a quick change chamber/barrel swap using interrupted threads and swap a mag well insert to use existing 5.56/.300 AR or 7.62x39 (C product) or 5.45 AR-type mags

I'd like a modern take on the Lemat; say a 7(ish)-shot .357mag plus a 410 barrel (or even just a separate barrel still in .357 but able to be selected separately).

Put a shotshell in the 2nd barrel and have JHP in the main cylinder and you've got a great sidearm for walking the woods in snake country. Not a *light* one, of course... :)

That's essentially a Mini-14 and Mini-30 respectively, minus the STANAG and AK mags.

A lever (preferably Winchester or Uberti) with a side loading gate chambered in .357 Maximum that loads and feeds .357 Mag and .38 Special, with a nice duty sized revolver to match.

NFA item. Shotgun with barrel shorter than 18".

In essence yes but still missing half of the things that would get me to consider selling other guns I own to buy. I try to be really picky when I want to spend money I don't have, saves me a bunch of headaches.

I honestly haven't heard much about upcoming products. It's been unusually quiet this year. All I can think of offhand are the new Glocks (yawn), and Mossberg's reentry into the pistol market.

What I would like to see is a completely ordinary and boring break-action .22 pistol. Plastic, zinc, brass, steel, anything.

I don't care about high dollar target pistols or TC conversions. I just want a regular .22 single shot pistol that isn't a cut down bolt action bench pistol. It hasn't been a thing in literally decades, so there's probably no money in it. And then rimfire might get real silly again pretty soon..

But I want one.

For that coinage I would buy a Tavor. Its a good way of getting an "SBR" w/o extra headaches. I would like to see something in 9x39.

I'd like to see more rifles short, threaded and twisted fast.

In particular:

-Marlin 1894 CST in .44 mag or .45 lc

-Ruger American Ranch in .44 mag

-A factory threaded variant of Ruger's 77/44 or a reincarnation of the 96/44, also threaded.

-Lightweight, 18" 5/8x24 threaded variants of the Win 70, Kimber 84 Hunter, Browning X-Bolt, Howa Alpine, etc (basically cheaper factory alternatives to the Barrett Fieldcraft)

-I'd also like a .40 or .45 variant of the Ruger PC Carbine, I haven't even heard any murmers along those lines though, so I went ahead and picked up one of the current 9mms.

-Lastly, I'd love for the ATF to go back to work so my latest F4 can get off of the doorstep and start the painfully long process.

If anyone hasn't seen it, here's a good, often updated list of guns just announced or rummored to be announced at SHOT.
