Question to those who have gotten their Python. How is the “tight lock up” on your 2020? Mine has more back and forth movement than I would anticipate in this piece. With hammer locked back, there is as much movement as in DA. Wonder if this by design or if there is an issue. My $600 Taurus 692 has a tighter lock up.

Also, i know that the lock is different on a Colt than other revolvers but honestly dont know enough about that yet.

thanks

To be clear I don’t know if the mechanism works the same way as the original python. But on all the old colts the cylinder didn’t fully lock up until you pulled the trigger.

My king cobra is literally “ like a bank vault” I know that term gets used a lot but it’s a good description. Zero movement in any direction Colt might get flak for all the issues ( from me too) but damn this KC is bada$$!!!
