My son just picked up a Weatherby Vanguard and some of these bullets to try out. Has anybody tried these out in a 300 Weatherby yet. I have H4831 on hand and would like to start there if anyone has info. I have searched the net and I'm coming up short, the best I can find is Nosler's 210 load data for the ABLR. Could I safely start with that starting load and work up? They list 74gr. as starting load and 78gr. as max.

Two suggestions.
Use 220gr data to start. Use 210gr data as max.
Reloading is as much art as science. Consider published data as suggestions rather than hard gospel. Your max may be higher or lower, due to component/firearm selection.

Secondly, e-mail Hornady and request data.

Hornady new reloading manual # 10 has data for 300Wby with 212gr ELD-X

Starts load 71.1gr/H-4831@ 2600fps, max is 79.5gr/H-4831 @2900fps

Rifle used was Wby Mark X/26" barrel/,Fed 215 primer,Hornady case,OAL 3.700"

I’ve shot around 80 through my sendero 300 wm and had inconsistent results. I found that I would get flyers way high or low every 6-8 shots. Almost like something was happening to the point of the bullet. I switched to interbonds and don’t have that trouble. I hope yours shoot them good.

So we tried these out the other day. I started at 72 gr. and loaded one round up in 1/2 gr. increments just to verify safety before loading a bunch up. I stopped for the time being at 74gr. and loaded up 5ea. of those. We mounted his new scope, bore sighted, and had it dialed in at 100 yards after the first two shots. We then took turns shooting, and put the next 8 shots into a 1 1/4" group, with one flyer being my fault, first time shooting this rifle. The other 7 rounds went into a 5/8" group with 5 being 74 gr. , one at 73.5 and one at 73gr. The velocity for 74gr. was only 2640 fps, but the recoil was sure nice.
