1in14" or 1in12" twist rate for the 22br. the barrel will probley be 24-26", mgm barrel with t/c encore(i had a stroke-some bolts are hard to open/close), and the bullets will be 40-55 grains.

yes, i know about the 22-250, i am trying something different
t/c encore, 16 1/4" mgm barrel, 20 vartarg
savage model 12, 223 rem(dads using it, darn bolts!!!)

any help will be greatly appecieted

My only 22BR was a 1-14, originally built as a 22-250, then set back and rechambered to 22BR. It was 27 1/2" before being set back. I shot 50s and 55s and it was one of the most accurate rifles I ever owned. Be sure to specify the chamber neck diameter for minimal working of the brass. Mine was a little large and I split a lot of necks. Annealing probably would have helped, but I did not find a reliable way to do that before I sold the rifle.

ETA: I don't think you could go wrong with a 1-12 either. You won't shoot much faster than 3650 fps, so I doubt if the difference in twist would make much difference. I shoot both twists now at 3550 with 50 gr bullets and can tell no difference.
