I went for accuracy and chose the Marlin 39, 4 years ago as far as lever action are concerned. It is my only rifle and it gets a lot of comments at the club. "Gee, I should get mine out." "I have one of those." My lever action gets used 3 days a week winter indoor and summer outdoor. No hunting.
If you lighten up the trigger to a couple pouinds, it is REALLY nice! I love my lever action! Nothing like having fun with off hand plinking with your lever action!
