What would happen if a .22 WMR were to be shot out of a .22 LR barrel? The magnum bullet is 1/1000" larger in diameter & I read somewhere that convertible pistols had bores 1/1000" bigger than a LR barrel. If I took a single shot .22 LR rifle and had it rechambered to .22 WMR, would that 1/1000" less bore diameter be a problem? Thanks.

No, it wouldn't be a problem at all, strictly from the bore-size problem perspective. It would just "scrunch down" and shoot fine. If it was 4 or 5 or more one-thousandths, then different story potentially.

It must not be too much of a problem. My Single Six came with both a .22 LR and a .22 WMR cylinder. Both rounds shoot very well from this gun.

A friend of mine managed to fire five rounds of .22 through my CZ452 17HMR with no damage done to the gun. Not much of a group however and to say I hit the roof is an understatement. There used to be a gun sold in Australia called the Myra Extruder, which fired .22lr and squeezed the round down to .20 calibre through a forcing cone. So I doubt it would be a problem for you to re-chamber to .22WMR, assuming the gun is made of good steel and from a reputable manufacturer.
