.22 Magnum -- best load for defense?

Well, I went and shot it yesterday. I didn't have any wetpack or water jugs available (maybe next time...), but I am quite pleased with this little pistol.

I shot at a piece of 2"x8" board that was about 2 feet long, and was nailing that sucker every time from 3-7 yards.

From farther out, it did take a little more effort, but I could still land my shots in a human-size target without much trouble.

I tried 4 of the 6 kinds of ammunition that I brought... Hopefully I'll have more time on the next trip to try them all. At any rate, I didn't have any misfires or anything of the sort.

This thing is a LOUD SOB!!!

Well worth the money.

I carry the CCI TNT .22 magnum in my 1-5/8" NAA mini revolver. I don't know if they are the best, but they sure look good.
