I need recommendations for .22 hi cap semi auto handgun that are reliable enough to shoot competitions with. the higher the cap and easier to use the better. I'd love it if Glock made a .22. thanks, Johnny

Does anyone even make a .22 rimfire pistol with a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds? I honestly don't know. It's hard enough to get the 10-rounders to feed reliably given the rimmed cartridge they have to work with. They rounds won't stack up evenly because of the rim and that affects feeding.

There was the Calico .22 pistol. It had something like 50 or 100 rounds in a helical magazine on top of the gun.

i don't know about hi cap but my buckmark has fired thousands of rounds and been flawless

The 15 round Cener magazines also function reliably with my Marvel #1 conversion unit and SV ammo.

I don't shoot competition, and I'm not familiar with the requirements of competition shooting for .22 pistols.

However, I do know there are a couple .22 magnum pistols which may meet your capacity requirements. Whether they are acceptable for your competition needs, I don't know...I doubt it, though, unless there's a specific magnum class. I'd be interested in knowing some more on this subject.

I own an AMT .22 Automag in a 6 inch barrel. It holds 9 round in the magazine. And it's darned accurate, too.

I'm considering purchasing a Kel-Tec PMR-30, which is another .22 magnum semi-auto which has a 30 round double stack magazine. It's a fairly recent development, and I haven't followed up on it in the last few months to see how it's faired with users. If anyone out there has one, or has shot one, I'd love to hear about your impressions on accuracy and reliability.
