I just got back from the range after a satisfying day with my older Marlin Model 60.
The big PITA is reloading the tube one little tiny .22 LR round at a time, every 17 rounds.
With the magazine spring and follower coming out completely, how hard would it be to make a tube "speed" loader from a plastic tube to speed load 15 to 17 rounds at a time? I could always fill the tubes at home in my spare time before a range trip.
Seems to me that dropping the rounds into the tube all at once wouldn't be any more risky than loading them one at a time.
I'm sure somebody has already made one of these but I checked Brownell's and a few other sites and did a search here and can't find any reference to anything like that.
Is there one already out there or do I start experimenting?
