My AR-15 Colt HBAR didn't care for the 64 gr Win PP bullet. It did however turn me on the Black Hills Soft Points. I will to this day fall back on the 55 grain loading from BH for anything that need to hunt with using my AR-15. i.e. deer, coyotes, pigs, p.dogs, etc.

That bullet and loading has never failed me. It is just a stick with what you know works kinda thing. I have never had one fail to expand violently and penetrate at minimal 20".

I don't have that HBAR any longer, but that Black Hills soft point sure did shoot good out to 540 yards with my PSA Dissipator on a 66% silhouette.

Go with what you know!

most people i know hunt hogs with handguns, knives and bows, any 223 will do, i've hit 200lb hogs in the chest and turned 3-4 inches of their butt inside out at the exit with 55 grain ball rounds, i also dropped a 300lb hog at a dead run at 125 yards in a good should shot rolled him head over hinds, head and shoulders, good shot placement, great killing power

Thanks a lot guys. Glad I found this site. Have found a lot of helpful info in different areas. Great site, keep up the good work!

Welcome to THR!

I'm like the feller Abarhorst on page 2, any one used the razorback yet? Review maybe? I read about it in Shooting Times a few months back, looks promising.
