In the online Western powder guide, it shows under 5.56 ONLY !!!!! 62gr Barnes tsx-bt Ramshot TAC 26.7 grains MAX.......62 gr Mil bullet, 26.2 MAX..... I have loaded up 25.3 , 25.5, 25.7 to check pressures.....will report back when done

Hornady does show and have data for their 223 62gr fmj, the link below is a Hornady
updated reloading page that was produced after their last 10th edition was released !
https://press.hornady.com/assets/site/hornady/files/load-data/223-rem-60-62gr-1.pdf
If you go to hornady website they list updates to their load data that is produced after their manuals are released
Hope this helps you
That is a 62gr FMJ not a 62gr HPBT but it should work thanks for posting!

Just an FYI, Midsouth has a sale on TAC that has FREE hazmat with purchase of 4 lbs. PLUS, they have/had Hodgdon H4350 in stock ( unicorn to find) . About the Hornady bullets, i am really impressed. As i mostly hunt, and informally shoot off the bench, these bullets may become my long range coyote bullets. Out of my RRA NM/A4 , they shoot better than my standby load of tac and Sierra 77gr MK. Might mess with Varget, but this seems to be working so we shall see !....Any and all info i get i will pass along...rsbhunter

and SMK matchking in 77gr is what 2.5 - 3.5x the price of a 62gr HPBT.

I always work up a load slowly, checking for pressure on each round in each ladder step...one point does not a line make ( in other words, don't trust just one) before moving on. The Sierra's are great, i also use Berger's bullets, but if something comes along like these bullets, then count me in. I tried the surplus fmj route, wish i hadn't spent the money ! My fun comes from shooting the smallest group i can, at the farthest distance i can......I don't like any thing over 1 MOA....nothing wrong with bigger, but for me, i'll sell a rifle that won't do 1 moa. Took me alot of years to be able to afford good equiptment, so i can pick and choose.. For anyone interested, for an AR, Faxon's 16" pencil bbl is fantastic...makes a super light weight yote gun.....rsbhunter

i have the 62gr hpbt hornady from midsouth. i settled on 24.5 h335. oal=2.256, cci400 primers.
i worked up 24.0, 24.5, and 25.0 loads, and settled on the 24.5 as the feed, ejected, and were plenty accurate @ 100yds.
Love those bullets, so easy to load.

At right at $100 per 1K, that's a good deal if they shoot this well. I guess I need to try some.

I know this is a really old thread. With that being said Here goes. I shoot this bullet almost exclusively.
I load 26.1 grains of AA2520 in a like city case with a wolf S/R primer.
Since AA2520 is temp sensitive, my MV is 2950 @ 35 degrees, and 3050 @ 80 degrees. (those are the only temps I have chrono data for)
I'm getting10 shot groups in the .7's on a good day and .9's when I'm not shooting as great as I could. (this is with an upper with a 20" Criterion hybrid profile chrome lined barrel)
I'm getting consistent 1.5's with my BCM 20" chrome line .gov upper. (this barrel is also free floated)
For what its worth, this bullet is DIRT CHEAP and shoots strait. I even took the money I saved for some 77's and bought more of these 62's. I have about 2k of these waiting to get loaded.

Ok so I cant find reloading data for this bullet in either the Hornady manual, Hogdon manual or Lyman manual anyone have any suggestions?

As a couple of people have already pointed out, you can use the data from the Hornady website for their 62gr FMJ bullet (catalog #: 22760B) with this uncatalogued BTHP.

The Hornady manual includes loads for the bullets Hornady offers in the retail market. Hornady also does a significant business providing bullets to the wholesale market. These wholesale bullets may be made by Hornady, but since they were not made for retail distribution, don't "officially" exist and so don't receive the same level of end-user support as their retail bullets (including Hornady going to the expense of working up loads for the bullet and publishing them in their manuals).
