Hornady 62gr bthp .223 how do they do looking for some feed back on these ?
I seen these online at a decent price are they a fairly new product ?

Are you referring to the one carried by Midsouth? One hole at 50 yds in my bolt gun. I only shoot 50 yds! I think it is Midsouth exclusive that you don't even find at Hornady website.

Yes at Midsouth , it is interesting that only they carry them unless hornady is getting a feel for the market before they are released main stream, hornady does sell them as loaded ammo ,
Maybe worth a try

They are a good bullet.

I had a funny experience with them last year when I went to a new indoor range to sight in my rifle. The rifle is a Remington 783, 223 1:9 twist, that was purchased for $250 after rebate.

The range has a policy that you have to sight in the rifle at 50 yards before you can move out to the 100 or 200 yard line, and a sub 2 inch group is required. I bore sighted the rifle, took two shots to get it zeroed, and then proceeded to put three shots in a little cloverleaf. The guy next to me said be careful, they may not be able to see the three shots for proof because they were so tight together. We had a good laugh.

While the BC is only slightly higher than a 55 FMJ, they shoot way better than expected at 500 yards. Good bullet for the money.

I use them for 3 gun, slightly better than the hornady 55g fmj accuracy wise and they are close to the same price. I Get about 1.5” at 100 yds with mixed brass and tac

With lc brass they are around 1” out of a 16” 1-9 twist rock river arms ar15
I have also not don’t a whole lot of load development with them, I found a decent load and made 500, I just got my second batch of 500 so I am going to tweak the load a little and see if I can get a little more accuracy because why not

this guy has some cool videos , this one he is testing/working with the 62 gr bthp , start the video from the start for some reason the link starts a few minutes into it

I've run a few thousand through various AR's with good results. I've tinkered with them in bolt guns as well. Love the bullet at the price. I don't hesitate grabbing them on sale because I know I'll use them.
I've found good results with CFE223, Varget and Benchmark pushing them.

Midsouth states that they are a hunting/target bullet, but I don’t shoot critters often and have not tried them

Midsouth states that they are a hunting/target bullet

I seen that and find it interesting a hunting / target bullet as the other .223 BTHP bullets are listed as target bullets even the 308 bthp/amax bullets with the amp jacket is listed as a target bullet and not advised for hunting I am curious
