Palmetto State Armory is where I get most of mine. $12.00 shipping for 1000 rounds. They have XM193, XM855 and a lot of .223 available for around 300-315 per 1000. Make sure your upper has a proper 5.56 chamber, not .223 before you shoot mil-spec ammo though. 5.56 in a .223 chamber is asking for pressure problems. By the way, the difference isn't really the chamber, it's the throat. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=55149 explains the differences; http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=19595 tells you how to determine what you have on your Rock River upper.

If your gonna shoot steel, avoid Tula.

natzches has good deals but your best bet is going to be a local gun store, saving $20 on 1000 rounds doesn't acomplish anything if you're still paying 20 bucks for shipping, if you can find a place with good prices and free shipping you're golden but it's been my experience that you can either find one or the other, not both
