I bought a 60 degree countersink, chuck it up in my drill press, remove the crimp and lightly chamfer the inside of the neck to remove any burrs from trimming. It's as fast as I can pick 'em up and put 'em down.

Yeah really, you don't think anyone here would pull your chain do you? :)

Seriously, as has been mentioned, removing a primer pocket crimp is very simple and easily done with any of a dozen tools including a #2 Phillips screw driver and countersinks available from any home improvement store. Eventually you will want a deburring tool anyway and everyone makes them. You will need one for chamfering and deburring case necks and they also can be used to remove primer pocket crimps. This is all part of normal hand loading practices.

Yep, we don't play around here. Heck, half of us quit school because they had recess.

These folks will steer you straight. :)

Yes, it's true! Seriously, initially I tried a 45 degree countersink I had in the tool box, worked ok although sometimes it seemed I had to go back and hit a few cases a second time, (I wondered if I was removing too much metal), they all seemed to shoot just fine. I figured a 60 degree countersink would do a better job because of the steeper angle, it would remove more of just the crimp, it worked!

It's a simple thing to remove the crimp and you only do it once. If you have the chamfering (sp) tool it work fine for cutting the crimp.

You people are great. i dont think i want to mess with the primer crimp thing, think I will see if i can get a partial refund.
Removing crimp is easy, just takes time. I use Lyman (I think) reamer and stick it in a electric screwdriver. Quick and easy, just takes time. Only have to do it once as long as you can find all your brass after shooting.

It might take some practice to take off the right amount with the countersink. The first few times I did it, I hogged a little too much off :). Most people are smarter than I am, so you might just get it right the first time!
