Do any of you guys have load data for .223 rem using H4895. I can find data for IMR4895 but I'm having issues finding the other. I'll be loading some 52 grain and 55grain hornady a-max and v-max bullets for a 1-9" barrel. (thanks for the bullets oldfarmerbuck). Any input would be appreciated.

The Hodgdon Data Center has good info for H4895. It's my go-to powder for the 223. I use it with Sierra 63 grain semipoint bullets.

With convetional "cup and core" bullets, weight is the most important factor in load data. So going to Hodgdon's site and looking up what they recommend is the best place to start.

You'll also notice for example on the 55gr bullets, you have three choices for load data. The "55 GR. BAR TSX FB", which is an all copper bullet. The "55 GR. SFIRE", which is a frangible bullet. Lastly there is the "55 GR. SPR SP", which is going to be another cup and core bullet. You'll want to use the last one. If you don't understand a bullet abbreviation you can usually copy/paste it into google for an answer.

Also twist rate play no role in load data.
