My local gun store has 1,000 round cases of PMC for $329.00 + tax. Haven't seen it that price here for a while. with tax that's still .35 a round and it's brass not steel. Maybe they just got a good deal in bulk, or maybe prices will fall a little if they are catching up. I was happy to get it. Thoughts?

Gunbroker has a ton of it sitting at that price with no one bidding on it.

Thats a good price, PMC should be $300-$330 a case with $30ish S&H.

Hatterasguy:
Gunbroker's .223 sellers might have nothing in common with 7.62x39 scalpers, but one individual seller last summer had 70,000 rounds of Russian x39 listed on GB, at the same time. At a glance, I saw tens of thousands on about two pages.

His location was Keene, NH. Maybe such sellers are investors, not scalpers.
The post-election shortage was partly caused by guys like this.

Yep, and I hope they all get burned because I remember paying .50 cents plus a round last summer.

I bought .223 surplus for less than $0.50/lb. and Russian steel for about half that. PMC in the middle is about right...

OhioChief;

I bought a few boxes of the PMC bronze .223 not too long ago. Mostly because it was inexpensive & available. I load my own, but figured it never hurts to have a couple of boxes of factory, just in case.

When I ran a box through the gun & brought it back to the hacienda to clean, I made a note to self: Self, this stuff shoots dirty! And I hate cleaning guns.
