:banghead:Hello everyone, I'm new here so I may make mistakes. I'new to reloading and have started to reload.223 for my AR. I have 2 lbs of varget, hogdon says 25.5g starting load but it seems to almost overflow the case. all my cases are once fired PMC or LC. Please help, do I need a diffrent powder? P.S. im loading 55gr FMJ. Thanks

When using LC brass and Varget I try to settle the powder before seating the bullet. Once in the shell holder put your finger over the mouth and shake the case a little to settle the powder. You may still get a little compression that is fine. I don't do much progressive loading of .223. You may need a different powder for what ever reason but try this and see if it helps. Using generally good reloading practices otherwise your load should be fine. :)
