Gents,

I have assembled a like new Remington 700 CDL in .243 Win, a 24" .224/1-12 twist SS barrel by Brux, a McMillan BDL "sand" camo stock, a HS Precision Pro Series Short Action detachable magazine (.223) trigger group with a spare HS Precision .223 magazine.

Do any of you know of a competent gunsmith that can put this rifle together for the 22BR chambering? I live in Texas and would prefer a Smith near me, however, foremost is that the rifle be precision built.

This rifle is going to be my walking varminter.

Thanks!:)

Just a question: why 22BR and not 30BR? Seems like everyone is shooting the 30BR or 6mmBR these days.

I had one built by McCann rifle co in Pittsburg Kansas and it is a tack driver. It's my favorite prairie dog rifle. It's by far the most accurate rifle I've ever owned. He's very reasonable in his cost and does awesome work.
