I wanted to go shooting a little after work today.Stopped by my neighborhood Walmart and the only inexpensive 22lr ammo they had was Remington Thunderbolt 22lr leadheads.$1.99 for 50.Well I purchased 3 boxes and headed to the feild.Pull out my old trusty Marlin 99 from behing the seat of the truck loaded up and pow---first shot a hit. Then click.Well there was a FTF.The ammo was terrible in my gun.The sound of the rounds was very inconsistant.FTF every other round.I even had one split the casing.Grabbed my box of CCI Mini Mags fro mthe glove box and not one single problem.Very accurate at 75 yards as always.Anyone else ever run into something like this.Sure wish I could find some Federal bulk. They always seemed to function good with only a fer misfires out of a brick. Will I need to shoot this ammo in my bolt action?
