Looking for load data from hornady book.

87 gr. V-max bullet
just max loads will work i can reduce 10 %
Imr 4064
h-380
varget
Benchmark if they have it.

Thanks

Does it absolutely have to be Hornady data? Cause I have a good deal of .243 win. data, maybe some Hornady also, I'll check. As for that 87 gr. V Max, I'm not certain I've done a development with that yet., but within that weight range, I do have a significant amount of logged development available. Mostly with Varget, H4831, IMR-4831, IMR-4350, RL22, RL19, and IMR-7828

As published by Lyman:

85 gr. Sierra HPBT
IMR-4064 / 34.0 gr. - 39.0 gr.
H380 / 33.0 gr. - 38.5 gr.
Varget / 35.2 gr. - 39.0 gr.
No Benchmark data

90 gr. Sierra FMJBT
IMR-4064 / 34.5 gr. - 38.5 gr.
H380 / 35.0 gr. - 38.0 gr.
Varget / 34.0 gr. - 38.0 gr.
No Benchmark data

Hope this helps.

Thanks GS. I ended up loading some 75 grain sierras that i have used before because i cannot find data on the 87 gr V-max. I wish the bullet manufactures would give data on there website instead of making me buy a book too:banghead: heck i already bought bullets.

Maybe buy bullets from a company that lists data on their website. Nosler does.

BigBore45: You might just call Hornady`s CS. Tell them which one of (( THEIR )) bullets you want to use and the rifle you are going to use it in. Hornady has always helped me out on giveing me their recomendations to enclude even different types of powder and charges to try. Their info is top of the line, IMHO. But Sierra, Spear, Nosler, and Barnes will do the same thing or at least they have for me. Good Luck:

Hornady # 9 Manual ... Hornady 87 V-Max COL 2.640"

IMR 4064 .... Min load 29.7 grs .... Max 37.1 grs

None of the other powders listed for the V-Max 87 gr ....

.243 Loads

I am also a loader for the .243, and have used 4064 for years. Just a quick note. 3031 is a good replacement for 4064, same performance at about 10% reduction in powder.

I have noticed the 3031 is more available too.
