.243 twist rate question

I have a twist rate of 1 in 14 in a krieger .243 AI barrel. what will be the best bullet wieght to use? will it spin up 80 gr bullets sufficiently? oh it is 25 inches long

That is awfully slow for a 6mm barrel.
.243 Win is normally 1/10 and 6mm Rem is 1/9.

Must be a speciality varmint barrel for very light bullets.

I don't know what the upper limit bullet weight would be, but would guess probably 65-70 grain or so.

55 or 60 grain bullets will be about all you can do on it. If you are at a high elevation and pushing it on the hot side you could handle a 65 grain bullet, doubtful on anything above a 65 grain bullet.
