NEED GOOD 243 LOADS for NEF

I need some good loads for varmint and deer
I like 4064 in 7mm-08 and I am looking for loads using it and any others that you find to be exceptional for 243
this is for a NEF superlite Handi Rifle with a 20" barrel

What bullets?

What powder(s)?

Cases I will be using are Remington, Primers are Federal.

We have used Rem factory loads with core-loks with some great accuracy I think they were 100gr????

Doesn't anybody have a real good 243 load
Art don't you drag a 243 everywhere for deer?
Mike Irwin Iheard you have a great load that is a tack driver??????
?????

in a couple of different 243's i have had pretty good luck w/ varget and h-4350. for bullets, look to sierra or hornady. avoid the nosler ballistic tip in this cartridge for deer hunting (disastrous results). 100 grain hornady or 85 grain sierra both produce good accuracy for my pair of 243's and work well on game...

Favorite 243 powders are IMR 4064 and Varget. Favorite bullet for whitetail deer is Hornady 100gr SP over either powder. (Varget gives better temp tolerance). Loaded to approx 1 gr below max in a recent Speer manual.
YMMV.

Bump

Any other special loads out there? I am going to try reloading 243 soon here for the first time and dont wanna buy the wrong powder or anything. I will be loading bullets from 55 grains up to 95 grains. Any info is appreciated.

IMR-4831 and Nosler 95 gr Partitions for deer. Heck, I use IMR-4831 with Hornady 75 gr HP's and 87 BTHP's too. 760 works well in the 243 though. I've always had good luck with I-4831 is all.

Go to hornaday's website they have some excellant loads listed for the 55gr v-max. I load mine about 1 grain under max with 4064. They also have
loads listed for heavier v-max bullets.

My best loads have been RL-22, standard primers, and 100 grain Sierra bullets, either flat base or boat tail.

I get 1" groups from my Ruger #1.
