I decided to finish up some old projects laying around and one of those was a Remington model 8 semi-auto chambered in 25 Remington. The 25 Remington is basically a rimless 25-35 Winchester. The Winchester was chambered in lever guns and the 25 Remington was mostly used in the model 14 pump action rifle. Since the lever and pump guns have tube magazines, all the loads for both rounds are with flat or round nose bullets, but the model 8 uses an internal box magazine so I could load up any style of bullet. All the load data I can find is for 117 grain round nose but I was thinking 100 gr ballistic tips would be a sweet deer load.
Anyone have any ideas where to start with that?
