I always love the Founders couldn't have conceived of armour piercing automatic weapons argument. They did however conceive of private citizens owning their own warships. Oh crap, that argument went out the window.

These things are always funny. The anti's are loud, and they make headway, but there just are not that many of them.
Without the backing of a few LARGE donors, Soros for example, the whole anti movement disappears.
It's a real shame. Wish the pro 2A groups had a couple of George Soros....

His argument about it being temporary is as ignorant as it gets. After all, the Constitution was drafted and approved in 1787 and did away with the weaker government under the Articles of Confederation. Of course, if any part of the Bill is obsolete, any part can be. That is a fact lost upon the ignorance of this kind of group.

Well, I can see why not as there is no statistical sample set up, and we cannot know the error at any established confidence interval. What would be interesting would be to have commissioned a true poll set up on a random sampling across the nation to determine general public opinion on the matter. But then again, the questions posed would have to be non-biased and that would be tough to find a pollster willing to do that.

And the Antis would more than likely vilify the accuracy of the poll, and scream about how one person could have voted a bunch, and skewed the results. Of course they don't have to actually be as activist on this because the majority of the stupid politicians agree with them. Unfortunately, we have to be on the defense all the time.

I don't know about that. Relying on support from people like that can be dangerous. Sometimes the ends don't justify the means.
