My son and I went to the range today to test my Rossi 357 mag. snubbie today. I've had it for a while but had never fired it. The weapon shot well, and was very accurate. The only problem I had was ejecting the casings. I had to thump the ejector rod firmly to get the casings out of the cylinder. This happened every time I ejected the casings. I also had my Dan Wesson 357 along to fire too. I had the same problems with this gun. This makes me suspect the ammunition. Any one have trouble with 3-D ammo. Thanks for the help.

If it won't eject out of two different guns, it is definately the ammo.

Too much pressure, or soft brass, one or the other.

Have you fired .38 Spl ammo in either gun to any extent?
If so, you could have hard carbon fouling in the ends of the .357 chambers raising pressure.

A brass bore brush, solvent, and some elbow grease or a cordless drill will get it out.

If you shoot .38s out of your .357, this will also cause the problem you are having.

rcmodel and Yo Mama, thanks for the reply. The answer to your questions, The Rossi had never been fired before, the Dan Wesson has had thousands of rounds fired through it with no problems. The 3-D ammo I was using was 38 spl. As far as the Dan Wesson, the chambers were cleaned when I put the gun up from the last time it had been fired. I'm going to buy some new ammo and give it a try. I think that will solve my problem.
Thanks again for the input.
