3 or 6 MOA Red Dot for Pistol?

I remember my first red dot sight,, an Aimpoint that had a huge battery compartment and only a 2 MOA dot. This was back in 1991. I won many local matches with this on my revolver and even beat out the automatics since my accuracy was so much better than the rapid fire guys.

Evolution came and dots got brighter and bigger. The size of the objective lens also increased and the last one I shot was an ADCO Mirage that looked like it had a beer can on it. Dot was 3 MOA but was easy to find and track, easier than today's reflex sights.

I'm old fashion and when I find something that works I stay with it. Today I shot my C-More with a 12 MOA dot for Steel Challenge shooting. I feel that the bigger the dot the better. With the C-More the dot does not flare out even at the highest intensity. It's still a round dot.

DS-10 showed the picture of what the dot looks like. In USPSA and SCSA you don't worry about pinpoint accuracy. Once the dot is on target you pull the trigger and you will hit where the dot was.
