Remember, if you are going to be using the gun to hunt deer, you'll need a bullet appropriate for the velocity level you are running.
The Remington 150gr Corlokt or the Winchester 150gr Power Points for the .30/30 are hard to beat at the .30/30 velocities you are going to be running. Contrary to some opinions, they work well at higher velocities too.
Another way to reduce recoil but not give up longer range effectiveness is to use the excellent and very accurate Nosler 125gr Ballistitic Tip.
At ~2,900-3,000fps it will recoil a bit less than the 150's at same speed, but shoot as flat and expand/penetrate well on game to 300yds and possibly beyond.
H4895 is well suited to the 125gr bullet (Sierra and Speer also make good 125's) and I've generally seen excellent accuracy from my '06's with it.
