I thik my oldest hid my Sierra book. I need a starting and a max load for the 150 spt boattail with IMR 4350. I was going to use the middle charge from Noslers book but wanted to be safe. Thanks guys

CAUTION: The following post includes loading data beyond currently published maximums for this cartridge. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Neither the writer, The High Road, nor the staff of THR assume any liability for any damage or injury resulting from use of this information.

My faverite 30'06 load is a 150 grain Speer Boattail with 62 grains of IMR4350. This is good for 2920fps (Chronographed in 5 different 22" guns). I have gone higher but accuracy drops off and I only gained 16 fps. Some other powders that had high claims of velocity didn't pan out. Some would not come within 200 fps of their claims. This load (62 grains of IMR4350) is published but you will have to go back 50 years or so to find it. It was safe in any gun I tried it in (all bolt actions) and super accurate!

my sierra book says 52.2 to 59.3 of IMR 4350 behind the 150 gr SPBT

My pet load for my Ruger No1 in 30/06 is 57.5gr of IMR4350 with the sierra 150gr SPBT, Winchester brass, and CCI Benchrest primers. This load gives me clover leafs at 100 yards and clocks in at about 2930fps.
