I am wondering if anyone has a load for 30/06 garand useing WC846.Any one load given will be worked up slow thanks for the guidence.
I have to disagree with you, WC846 is very similar to BL-C(2) and W748 and both can be used in the M1. You might be thinking of WC844 being too fast a powder. WC846 is a slower powder than IMR4895, not faster...I have 16lbs. of WC846 that I bought, hoping to use for my M1, but I've since found out that it's NOT recommended for that! Good for .223/5.56 or .308/7.62x51, but not for .30-06 or for Garand loads. Burns too fast. Bummed me right out. But I've got enough .223 powder to last a long time now.
Mine came from Pat's Reloading, call them and ask about the WC846. http://www.patsreloading.com/patsrel/prices.aspx
Standard basic M2 ball load is a 150 gr. flat-base FMJ bullet over 47 gr. of IMR 4895. I'd stick with similar recipes.
