All, I believe this topic has already been beaten to death but I would like to throw it out there one more time - has anyone, successfully, reloaded 30-30 winchester cases with 200 grain bullets? to be used in a Marlin 336 lever action rifle?
Just to keep the thread short please only reply with positive results.
Thanks.

I'm positive a 200 grainer will be too long regardless of the rifle used. There are some 180 and 200 grain loads on Reloader's Nest though. The 200 was used in a bolt action. No OAL given. Max is 2.550".
I have some 190 grain jacketed data in an old Lyman manual if you want it.

Yes I have, I was using a cast 200gr FN with surplus 4895. I was pushing it to 1700-1800 FPS with great accuracy.

thanks guys.
AgCatJHS, that is what i needed to know. Regarding the 200gr FNs, did you purchase them or made them yourself?

I cast them myself from a RCBS 180gr FNGC mold. They weigh right at 200gr lubed with a Gas check. I am able to get 2" or so groups at 100 yards out of a couple of Win 94s.
