Does anyone have any data for loading with a 150GR FP over

H380? This is the powder that I have on hand, but I can't find it

listed in my manuals with a 150Gr 30-30(Sierra) . Not looking for

a max. load, just a mid-range target/ practice load.

Just trying to use up some of my existing stock of supplies. Any

help is appreciated.

My old Hodgdon manual lists 32.0 gr maximum for about 2069 fps with 150 gr Gas Checked bullet. I would start about 26-27 gr and work up to see where the "sweet spot" is for your rifle. Me, I use GI surplus IMR-4895 in my 30/30 with 154 gr gas check. Very accurate.

The spper new addition list the load at 30.0 gr min for mzl. vel. at 1675. Make load is 34.0 gr at is a compressed load. the over all length is 2.55" and the only difference is it used speer bullet 150 rn part# 2011. I have the new hornady 5th ed., lyman 48th ed, and sierra anniver. edition and speer in the only manual that gives a load for that powder. Hopefully that will work for you. got luck. By the way speer doesn't list pressure in this manual.

Just goes to show you how different the manuals can be some time. Hodgon says 32 Max and Speer 30 Min. Still start low and work up to where it works for you gun.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess it's time to invest in some

more reloading manuals. I know I could buy more types of

powder, but I find it interesting to see how many calibers I can

get a good load from the same type of powder. I guess you

could say I'm kinda cheap that way :D
