I'm in the process of buying an old Luger in the new to me 7.65X21 or .30 Luger. Surprisingly, Starline had the brass and I picked a set of dies.
My quandary is finding bullets. It's my understanding the original recipe used a 93gr jacketed bullet. Lyman's 50th only shows one jacketed 85gr, round nose (Sierra).
I'm hoping someone has experience with this caliber and can steer me in the correct direction with their experience.

You have chose wisely. First step not confusing 30 Luger and 30mauser or 7.62x25tolk.
All I know for sure is jacketed bullets appropriate for the smallest thirtys are hard to find right now.
I wanted bullets to load some 7.62x25 and I had to resize plated 8mm nimbu bullets down to thirty cal. The nimbu bullets were dirt cheap and available.

I reload the 7.63X25 and the 7.62X25. I did find some .309 Hornady bullets on the shelf that I've used for them. But they're 90 gr XTPs and I'm not sure how they will feed in the Luger.
Yes, I've too have found a real lack of selection in the 30 caliber area.
I was wondering if a RN cast bullet might work. The .30 Luger varies between 1,000 and 1,200 MV.

Cast is the only way to get small 30cal bullets right now.
I was trying to hold out for some xtp bullets to come back in stock.

I used 110 FM from 30 carbine in 763 mauser, but they might be a bit much for a 30 luger. I can't say I've ever seen them in bulk.

I suggest you investigate bullet molds and bullet casting. Unless you happen to find them in stock, proper bullets probably won't be made again for some time.

The .309 bullets from Western Bullet would probably fit the bill. You guessed it..."Unavailable at this time". I'll try my XTPs...they ARE available.

I've been using the #31000 for the Tokarevs and Brooms. I do have a small supply of those to try. I've also emailed The Bull Shop that specializes in cast. I've used him before with success for oddball calibers.
