Works perfectly. You will have a couple of months wait for your certificate so be patient.
Pass your info on to as many people as possible.
This was the phone number I used for a direct connection.

Four years ago (or so) I got one through TuckerDog. I'm not sure if he's still doing it but I can say he is honest and took good care of me. Even back then it took several months to process.

Thank you guys. I looked around on thr but didn't see any threads on this, I should have used a search.

But anyway.....I'm a brand new **LIFE member of the NRA**!!!!

I challenge others to do the same.

I took advantage of this in December. Took three weeks for my credit card to be billed and the another three weeks for it to show up on the NRA site. Be prepared to wait a while. I think it's a very nice deal.

I am an NRA member but not a life member.

Looking at the NRA web site, i do not see what the life membership gets "ya" except a fancy piece of paper.

Can someone enlighten me.

Thanks.

No more annual dues, some fancy stickers, a patch and more money for the NRA. Can't remember which voting benefits change.

It is a great deal. I signed up from Tom Grishem's Gun Talk radio program. In fact he signed up over 13,000 new Life Members.

Given all that is going on in the political arena, plus some of the benefits, I can't think of a better time to show support and this is a great way to do it.

Can someone enlighten me.
One of the reaons the NRA is a credible voice for the membership is the membership statistics: the total number, the number of Life members, and the significant increase in both categories as 2A issues heat up. I upgraded from annual to life membership recently to assist in that clear public suport aspect. (My upgrade was a members' special of $600, but it allows me to add other new life members for $300. I just added my brother.)

I did it in Dec. I think it's a good deal. It does take a while to go through since, I've read the NRA has enrolled a lot of lifetime members since the anti crap started up.

I gifted a life membership to another family member a few years ago. I also stipulated no phone, email, or snail mail contact for additional fund raising, special offers, etc. -- which has been honored.

Can someone enlighten me.

It's not about what you get out of it, it's about helping the cause.

I was sponsoring a buddy at work for the 300$ life membership and he kept going on about how much money he would save over the years, I finally told him if he didn't plan on continuing to support them finically he could find another sponsor. He thought it over for a minute and said "well yeah I never thought of it like that."
He had been a member for years and never thought of it as anything other than a sticker and a magazine. The cause had never entered his mind, now he's a life member who gives regularly to the NRA-ILA. I'll grantee he gives them more money now than he did as an annual member.

Now I'm working him over on the SAF, I'm very generous with other people's money. ;)

Please excuse typos. Posted via iPhone.

How does a life membership help The Cause more than just paying annual dues forever (which is more money in the long term -- or even medium term.) Dues money does not benefit the NRA-ILA.

I did it around 4 years ago as a Distinguished Life Membership for $375. It took several months back and forth until they finally gave me credit for the payment. They kept sending renewal notices and said they received no payment and they were going to stop the magazine if I didn't renew. I even paid the USPS to check on my money order. Finally after much anguish, they finally acknowleged my Life status. I was not at all happy but it finally worked itself out.I get 3 or 4 times as many request for donations as previously.:banghead:

I did a "converted" life membership, where I converted one where I paid monthly to the full deal.

I had no problems. I even asked for extra stickers after someone stole mine. No problem...they sent new ones immediately.

First of all, Thank you to all the new and old members alike. Keep this bumped so those that don't know about this can find out. We need all the help we can get right now. We must stand together, the NRA is a way to make sure our voices are heard.

Did you tread the rest of that post?

If someone is going to life in order to save money, then I don't want them to be life members. I give more now as a life member than an annual member, because I WANT to, I can also say I now give almost exclusively to the ILA. Something I never did as an annual member.

@zxcvbob, But they are likely to donate each year if they think it is a good cause. There are many levels of lifetime memberships. EVERY new member we get is a voice that says "you are not taking our rights". A lifetime members is also a benefit to those that hold it. I have received many, many discounts because I am a life member. Before I joined the NRA, years ago, my money went to guns and ammo. Now after seeing how active the NRA is with children's shooting clubs and such I now donate x% of my disposable income to the NRA,NRA-ILA, and donating ammo and my time to local youth groups learning to shoot. The NRA(while I don't agree with everything or everyone on the board) opened my eyes about the freedom that is being chiseled away, bit by bit.

I am a NRA member for some time now. I clicked the link on the 2nd post and it does not exist?

Is the $300 lifetime membership still available.? The NRA page shows $1000.00?
