$300 NRA life membership is back

My check also cleared yesterday. Status on the NRA website hasn't changed yet, but....patience....there is movement! Thanks Tuckerdog1!
 
For everyone's info, since the check cleared, but the NRA website hasn't shown an update, I emailed [email protected] to inquire. Got a reply that my Life Membership posted to their files and everything was in order but "the online site is not updated in real time and can take up to 4 weeks to reflect any updates."
 
Really glad to see these are starting to get processed. Thanks everybody for posting the checks are clearing. And thanks BerettaProfessor for the info that the website is slow to update membership status.

Again, congratulations to all the new Life Members. We ALL benefit from you doing this.

I wonder how much of a cash influx this type of offer brings? If you figure this time around just for this site brought in over approx $17,000 in instant liquid cash - I wonder what nationwide the finally tally on a deal like this is worth. For the people that would normally go year to year at $25 or so I'm sure it all adds up - but all those $300 checks should amount to some substantial coin I would think - good for everyone in the end. Thanks Tuckerdog1 for starting this and letting us all in on the deal. I appreciate it.

Looks like something's happening for me. When I checked the NRA website I'm still listed as "Regular Annual - Active" but my expiration date is now 1/31/2030. Don't tell my wife but it looks like according to the NRA I'll be alive and kicking for 19 more years.
 
I received my package today. Thanks Fred! Now, how do we get Obama, Pelosi and Reid to respect the wishes of Washington, Jefferson, Mason and Franklin? :D
 
Creek Rat; better check again....your post made me check mine and, although I haven't received my package yet as some here have, my NRA status is now listed as "LIFE". Three cheers for Tuckerdog1!!

Quick update, I just called to try a beg my way in and was told that the offer was extended through this week...no begging needed! I gave them the NRA number of a fellow forum member and I'm now a lifer!

Great guys. From the posts, it looks like it's all starting to gel. If anybody has any problems ( like you didn't get upgraded:confused: ), let me know & I'll see what I can do.

Got the packet, certificate and all; now a real Life Member.

Dominus; go to "membership services" at the www.nra.org site. There will be a place to enter your membership number and a password if you've logged in before and that will pop up your status. I suspose if you haven't logged on before you'll have to go through establishing an account, but your membership number is the key....mine didn't change with the change in status.

Thanks berettaprofessor. I sent an e-mail to the NRA at your suggestion and they did confirm my Life membership effective 12/31/2009. Guess their web site is just slow to update.

Thanks to Bailey Guns for adding me to his list and thanks to all the participated for supporting the NRA and RKBA.
 
I was going to upgrade my membership to Life status, for $500, but they would not allow me credit for the 3 year extension I just paid. I think that really sucks so I did not pull the trigger. If there is still a chance to get in on the $300 offer, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity.

Got a letter stating that effective March 31, 2010, Life Memberships will go up in price from $1000 to $1200.

Yikes!

I wonder if that will change the $300 deal to a $400-$500 deal next go around??
