"...lower cost of ammo and more brand selection?? (if you do not reload)..." Exactly. Even if you do reload, adding the word 'Weatherby', to anything, increases the price. You won't likely find any Weatherby cartridge in smaller places either. .300 Win Mag is usually easy to get in most places. A Weatherby cartridge is not. Only matters if you get out in the boonies only to find you left your ammo on the kitchen table.
