I am looking to sell some .303 ammo that I bought sometime ago. It is POF 1964 it is fairly clean and I shot 10 rounds and had no hang fires or failures to fire. Does anybody know what this stuff is selling for? Feedback is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know yet the first ammo can I looked in had the POF and just a few loose HXP and FN 50 and something from 1945. I have several more cans to look thru.

Thanks for the link btw.

If you're not into it for anything, or simply want to unload it, I'd put it up for sale at one of the auction sites. A quick look on Gun Broker shows several overpriced listings. I can purchase brand new, commercial .303 British cartidges for about $25.00 for 20 rounds. I wouldn't expect to get any more than that because of the unknown storage history and likely corrosive primers.

If you find someone who is collecting the ammo, they might be willing to pay a bit more.

I bought some POF at $6.50 a box of 32. It is really worth about a dollar per thousand. Actually I took it apart and saved the projectiles for reloading. I have reloaded some of the brass with new smokeless powder and still get 25% scary delay in ignition. I do have some berdan primers that I might try to reload the POF brass, otherwise, I will continue on with my American and Canadian brass that I have on hand.

Looking at the photos of the headstamps I noted that some of them are marked with "VII". I am thinking that those were made with a little more power for use in machine guns and are not recommended for use in 'older' guns.

[Nope. I looked it up after this writing and found that it was the Mk VIII or Mark 8 that was developed for the maching guns.]

There is at least one English Radway Green round there, and the rest looks like Canadian DAC. The DAC is corrosive. The Radway Green probably is too.

Prices in the US for nice, reloadable Prvi .303 is about $15/20 rounds.

One good source is "Ammo-seek".

So would asking $35-40 per 100 rounds be asking too much?
